Description
Students must be 14 years 8 mos. of age by the first scheduled day of class. Birth certificate is required to verify age requirements. Students/guardians must attend orientation. Per state regulation, attendance at all classes is mandatory. NO REFUNDS, NO TRANSFERS.
This gift certificate is for Segment 1 of Michigan’s required Driver Education program for students under age 18 that are looking to begin the process of becoming a licensed driver in the State of Michigan. Classes are available to any Delta County teens and are offered in the evenings at the Escanaba High School for convenience.
Segment 1 includes:
24 hours of classroom instruction
6 hours of behind-the-wheel training; 4 hours of in-car observation
Curriculum and instruction meets Michigan Secretary of State requirements
Student progress is shared with parents, and parent orientation with resources is included. Completion of Segment 1 and a minimum score of 70% on the state written exam are required to obtain a Level 1 Learner’s License in Michigan.
