This certificate is good for a one-hour massage from Lisa Warden at Sacred Living. Massage is a form of healing that is great for lifting your mood, reducing pain, or increasing your range of motion. There are many ways to enjoy your massage and purpose to all of them. You can choose either deep tissue or relaxation massage.

Deep tissue works to really reduce the tension of muscles through working through knots, areas of tension and adhesions, as well as to reduce the impact of injury. This type of massage uses a deeper pressure (thus the name “deep tissue”), muscle release, and at times stretching. This helps really address patterns of overuse and patterns of discomfort in the body.

Relaxation massage is very underrated. When exposed to chronic stress and fatigue the body may not be ready for a deep tissue massage and may require something a bit gentler. The focus of this kind of massage (sometimes called Swedish) is to use long flowing strokes to enhance circulation and exchange of muscle by-products (lactic acid and similar) to help reduce soreness and stress.
